Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I am going to take Toby for a short hike and am trying to decide what to do.

Kinja'd!!!

I kind of want to try this one while the weather is still nice. But dogs are not allowed. People tell me lots of people ignore this rule, but it may make sense to wait for it to be colder when no one is there.

This would also be a good one to do before the weather turns. They get snow up there, so it may not be accessible in winter. Or it could be a fun snow hike. I doubt there will be many people, which will give Toby a chance to get off the leash.

This looks fun, but I am not sure I have time to go 7 miles. Embarassing as it may be, I also am still a little bit concerned about my stamina. My cardiologist says it takes about a year to heal from a heart attack, and while I have felt much stronger as of late, I still find myself becoming tired very suddenly.

Decisons, decisions. Pumpkin is not interested in my dilemmas. My present one is how to get up for another cup of coffee.

Kinja'd!!!

Have a good Sunday, all.

pincushion mountain..... i think i see how it came to have that name lol

oakhurst river looks like your best bet if your worried about time and stamina tho... welp have fun whatever you do (assuming you ever get that coffee)

my plan for today is make dinner work one last night shift and then go be free for the rest of the month (save for a 3 hour safety course on wednesday wich counts as overtime)

this time next week ill be in portugal on a rented mountainbike getting myself lost and into trouble :)

You too. Have fun hiking. I’ll be driving back to Houston... again.

You might be interested to know how shutting down the biggest court complex in Houston affects the criminal justice system. The clearance rate dropped from 93% to 84% and the pending cases went from just over 17,000 pre-Harvey to over 23,000 one year post-Harvey. Where they were all housed in one building, now the courts are spread out over several blocks. It’s like a bee-hive in that area of town with everyone running from building to building. They hope to get the main building back online by the end of 2020.

I’d do one of the smal ler ones. Might be best to end the day wanting a little more rather than finding yourself 6 0% of the way on the 7 miler and hating life.

We just got snow and the city got a little overzealous with the gravel. I’m sure it’s good for grip but every time a car passed me while I was waiting to turn left felt like a full broadside. Oh well, such is winter.

The river trail reminds me of the hiking we do back in Richmond, VA. We’re camped out here doing nothing because snow (and also lazy).
